- يتم الآن إنجاز المشروعات الكبيرة فى محاولة لحل المشكلة السكانية ذلك أننا نتوقع أن عدد السكان فى مصر سوف ينمو إلى حوالى أربع أو خمس مرات ما هو عليه الآن فى القرن الحادى والعشرين.
2) Every country must try to avoid polluting the environment any more in the 21st century.
- يجب على كل دولة أن تحاول تجنب تلوث البيئة أكثر من ذلك فى القرن الحادى والعشرين.
3) Hundreds of years ago, scientists studied the human brain. They wanted to find out if everyone’s brain is the same size. They discovered that the human brain is about two percent of the body’s weight.

- يعتمد النجاح فى الحياة على الصبر والعمل الجاد فالطالب الذى يبدأ فى تعلم دروسه منذ بداية العام سوف لا يجد هناك صعوبة فى اجتياز امتحانه.
6) School-life has many sides. It does not only mean the classroom with its lessons but also means pupil’s life outside the classroom, the games, the journeys and different activities.
- للحياة الدراسية العديد من الجوانب فهى لا تعنى فقط الفصل بدروسه ولكنها أيضاً تعنى حياة التلميذ خارج نطاق الفصل فهى تعنى الألعاب والرحلات والأنشطة المختلفة.
7) Reading newspapers helps to know everything that takes place all over the world. It also provides us with much information about our local events. This sort of reading is also considered a source of culture to many people.
- إن قراءة الصحف تساعد فى أن نعرف كل شئ يقع فى جميع أنحاء العالم، وهى أيضاً تمدنا بمعلومات وفيرة عن أحداثنا المحلية. ولعل هذا النوع من القراءة يعتبر أيضاً مصدراً من مصادر الثقافة للعديد من الناس.
We can not live alone but are always in need of the help of all around us. We need clothes which other men make; houses which other men build and food which other men produce. We need friends to comfort us.- لا يمكننا أن نعيش بمفردنا فنحن دائماً فى حاجة لمساعدة كل من حولنا، فنحن نحتاج للملابس التى يصنعها الناس الآخرون وإلى البيوت التى يبنيها الآخرون وإلى الطعام الذى ينتجه الآخرون، فنحن نحتاج إلى أصدقاء لكى يخففوا عنّا.
9) Travelling into space has been one man’s great achievements. Scientists have succeeded in sending spaceships into space.
- لقد أصبح السفر إلى الفضاء أحد المنجزات العظيمة للإنسان، فقد نجح العلماء فى إرسال سفن الفضاء إلى الفضاء.

13) يجب ألا يُعاقب الأطفال بدنياً، فهذا النوع من العقاب له تأثيراً سيئاً على حياة الطفل فى المستقبل. فيجب على الآباء أن يربوا أطفالهم على الأخلاق الحميدة.
- Children should not be physically punished. This kind of punishment has bad effect on a child’s life in the future. Parents should bring up their children on good manners.
14) لم يعد تدريس اللغة الإنجليزية مجرد مساعدة الطلاب لحفظ كثيراً من المفردات عن ظهر قلب ولكننا أصبحنا الآن ندرّس اللغة الإنجليزية من خلال مواقف، هذه المواقف تساعد الطلاب على ممارسة اللغة باستخدامها فى حياتهم اليومية.
- Teaching English is no longer helping students to study a lot of vocabulary by heart. But we now teach English through situations. These situations help students to practise the language by using it in their daily life.

17) إن اختيار الوظيفة المناسبة يُعد أمراً هاماً بالنسبة لك لأنك تحتاج إلى أن تستمتع بعملك، ولكنك يجب أن تعلم أن أصحاب الأعمال يفضلون الموظفين المهرة والثقة.
- Choosing the suitable job is important for you because you need to enjoy your work. But you must know that employers prefer clever and reliable employees.
18) يعمل الناس فى وظائف مختلفة، وعندما ينقضى عمل اليوم فإن لكل منهم وقت فراغه والذى يستطيع أن يفعل فيه ما يحب، والناس يختلفون فى الأسلوب الذين يقضون به وقت فراغهم، فالبعض يستفيد بشكل جيد منه ويقضونه بطريقة سارة، وآخرون يضيعونه لا يعلمون كم هو قيم.
- People work at different jobs. When the day’s work is over, each has his free time during which he can do what he likes. People differ in the way they spend their time. Some make good use of it and spend it in a pleasant way. Others waste it not knowing how valuable it is.
19) لقد أمدت وزارة التعليم مكتبات المدارس بمختلف الكتب المفيدة.
- Ministry of Education has provided the school libraries with different useful books.
20) الشخص الذى أعجب به أكثر ليس شهيراً ولا غنياً فهى أُمى فأنا أعجب بها لأننى مؤمن بعطفها وحبها لى فهى مثالاً للعطف والحب والعطاء والحنان والوفاء لى ولكل من حولها.
- The person I admire most is not famous or rich. She is my mother. I admire her because I believe in her pity and love to me. She is a symbol of pity, love, donation, compassion and loyalty for me and all around her.
21) إن الصراع العربى الإسرائيلى هو السبب الرئيسى للمشكلة الأخيرة فى العالم، فقد حطمت إسرائيل كل فرص السلام عن طريق اغتيال الفلسطينيين النشطين وكذلك عن طريق إنشاء مستعمرة جديدة فى الأراضى الفلسطينية المحتلة.
- The Arab-Israeli conflict is the main reason of the last trouble in the world. Israel destroyed chances for peace by assassinating (اغتيال) Palestinian activists or building a new settlement on occupied Palestinian Land.
22) إن الإرهاب الحقيقى هو الحرب الأمريكية ضد أفغانستان وشعبها الفقير، أيضاً الإرهاب الإسرائيلى ضد الشعب الفلسطينى الذى يعانى لفترة طويلة من الزمان.
- The true terrorism is the American War against Afghanistan and its poor people. Also the Israeli terrorism against the Palestinian people who suffer for a long time.
